JD, Excellence Group to launch a mall in Hunan

The store will be an upgraded version of JD’s E-space omni-channel store.

JD.com and Chinese real estate firm Excellence Group are setting to open Hunan province’s first JD Mall in Changsha, an upgraded version of JD’s E-Space omni-channel retail experience store, the e-commerce giant said in a media release.

The JD MALL in Changsha will be part of Excellence Group’s business complex, with an area of 100,000 square meters. According to Yu Chen, General Manager of Development and Planning for JD Mall, the JD MALL chain combines both online and offline experiences and seeks to offer an immersive omni-channel shopping experience to consumers.

JD Mall initially debuted in Xi’an, Shaanxi province in the end of September this year, and it accumulated a transaction volume of over 150 million within the first 7 days of operation.
