UNIQLO operations in Russia remain ‘suspended,’ Fast Retailing clarifies

This comes amidst reports that it will exit the market.

UNIQLO operations in Russia remain suspended, Fast Retailing clarified after reports that the brand will be exiting the market.

“In March 2022, Fast Retailing temporarily suspended operations in Russia, and that status remains unchanged,” the company noted in response to the reports that also claimed it will be selling its UNIQLO business in Russia.

“With no foreseeable prospects to resume operations, the company has closed some stores.”
