Lazada, Seoul Business Agency partner to support Korean SMEs' growth

The SMEs will be first onboarded in Lazada Singapore.

Lazada has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Seoul Business Agency (SBA) to support the expansion of South Korean small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Seoul to Southeast Asia.

In a statement, Lazada said the agreement mandates the SBA to lead in promoting the company as a key Southeast Asian e-commerce marketplace destination amongst SMEs in South Korea’s capital.

The partnership will start in Singapore where Seoul-based SME will be onboarded on the Lazada Singapore platform.

“Partnering with Lazada will allow South Korean SMEs to sell their products to customers in Southeast Asia, and to optimize their businesses by accessing Lazada's technology and seller tools,” SBA CEO Hyunwoo Kim said.

Lazada will benefit from the partnership as this will expand the products and brand options on the platform.
