Mark Robinson appointed ANZ’s South, Southeast Asia CEO

Banker was former Citigroup’s chief in South Asia.

Australia & New Zealand Banking Group Ltd. has appointed Mark Robinson as chief executive of the bank's South and South East Asia operations, reporting to Asia Pacific, Europe and America CEO Alex Thursby, the bank said in a statement.

Robinson joins ANZ in Singapore from Citigroup where he was most recently CEO South Asia, with responsibility for India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, ANZ said in a statement.

According to the Wall Street Journal, ANZ's South and South East Asia business covers 10 markets, including the priority markets of Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia and India, as well as the regional hub in Singapore.
