Citi names Angel Ng as Citi head for Hong Kong and Macau

She will be a member of the Citi Asia Pacific operating committee and will report directly to Francisco Aristeguieta, CEO of Citi Asia Pacific.

Citi announced the appointment of Angel Ng as Citi’s Hong Kong and Macau head effective May 1, 2018. She will assume the overall management, operations and development of the entire Citi franchise in Hong Kong and Macau, working closely with local, regional and global product and function heads. Ng will be a member of the Citi Asia Pacific operating committee and will report directly to Francisco Aristeguieta, chief executive officer of Citi Asia Pacific.

Ng first joined Citibank in 1998 and had assumed leadership positions within the bank, including head of retail banking, marketing, wealth management, and cards. In June 2015, she was appointed consumer business manager for Hong Kong.

Under her leadership, Citibank Hong Kong has delivered strong client-led growth over the past years and was also the first to launch a full-suite consumer open API platform in Hong Kong, amongst other innovative service offerings. Citi’s consumer bank has also seen strong digital and mobile growth with a 16% increase in the past two years and 73% of the bank's clients in Hong Kong are now digitally active. 

Ng is currently the chief executive and a member of the board of directors of Citibank (Hong Kong) Limited.
