MUFG, subsidiaries submits business improvement plans to authorities

MUFG also apologised to its customers and stakeholders.

MUFG and its subsidiaries MUFG Bank and MUMSS have submitted documents to Japan’s financial authority, including business improvement plans.

The submission is meant to fulfill the business improvement orders and request for reporting issued by the Financial Services Agency’s (FSA) orders for the MUFG Bank and MUMSS.

In a statement, MUFG reiterated their apologies to the public.

“We sincerely apologize again for the inconvenience and concern this is causing our customers and other stakeholders,” MUFG said.

“We take these incidents very seriously, and will enact more effective policies to prevent recurrence, steadily implementing these business improvement plans across the group to restore trust by realizing customer-centric sales activities that leverage the 
group’s collective strengths,” it added.
