Hong Leong Bank appoints 3 senior managers

Hor Kwok Wai, James Chong Wai Choy, and Ramon Albert Chelvarajasingam hired from different companies.

Hong Leong Bank Berhad (HLB) has announced three new senior managers.

Hor Kwok Wai is now chief operating officer of the bank's global markets covering Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, China and Vietnam, where he will be building and galvanising the bank’s regional thrust.

Prior to joining HLB, he was managing director, head of markets of a foreign bank.

He has been in banking for over 15 years, mainly in the fields of fixed income, derivatives, asset-liability management and risk management and also held various positions in foreign commercial banks.

He brings with him a wealth of experience that will augur well for the transformation already underway in HLB's global markets and with his talents, the bank is optimistic that he will bring their treasury business to greater heights.

Hor is a graduate in actuarial mathematics and statistics from Heriot-Watt University in Scotland, UK.
