Standard Chartered to add six Asian markets to IBOS network
Both parties will eventually expand to other markets where the bank operates.
Standard Chartered has joined the international banking network IBOS Association and will initially add Singapore, India, Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Malaysia into the network, according to a news release.
Both parties will eventually discuss expanding relationships to other markets where the bank operates, especially in other parts of Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
“We also look forward to supporting internationalising mid-corporate clients of member banks who are keen to venture into the markets across our footprint and using our deep local knowledge to help them enter, navigate and prosper by accessing some of the most vibrant economies, trade corridors and supply chain ecosystems globally,” said Jilten Arora, Standard Chartered’s global head for commercial banking.
