DBS plans to hire up to 100 tech talents through its hackathon programme Hack2Hire.
The bank's hiring programme comes admist an advisory issued by the Monetary Authority of Singapore promoting progressive human capital practices and urging banks to invest in digital and data-driven training programmes for skills development and continuous workforce upskilling.
According to a press release, the programme will recruit scrum masters, user interface and user experience designers, mobile app developers, solution architects, data scientists, and system engineers to create an all-around Agile tech team.
“To reimagine banking, it is important that we leverage the latest technology and embed ourselves in the customer journey. The new tech talents bring fresh perspectives and skillsets, and complement existing teams to enable us to continue making banking simpler and more effortless for customers,” said DBS Group head of consumer banking and big data analytics Soh Siew Choo.
