Mox receives licence for HK-US equity trading services

The licence makes it the first Hong Kong virtual bank to offer this service.

Mox Bank has secured a Type 1 licence from the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) to introduce Hong Kong and US equity trading services

This makes it the first virtual bank in Hong Kong to have this type of service.

According to Mox, the licence reflects its expansion into wealth management and investment, broadening its existing deposit and loan business.

Mox is preparing to launch the Mox Invest equity trading service in the Hong Kong Monetary Authority's Fintech Supervisory Sandbox. 

The service will be rolled out gradually to customers later this year, offering a user-friendly interface for direct investments in Hong Kong and US securities.
