Hang Seng warns customers about phishing emails

Recent phishing emails uses [email protected] as an address.

Hang Seng Bank has warned its customers of recent phishing emails that uses the address “[email protected].” 

According to Hang Seng Bank, the address will redirect customers to a website the uses the domain name “https://crownbookstore[.]com/hang/.” 

It will then prompt recipients to enter personal or account details through the fraudulent website which displays the Bank’s logo.

“The Bank would like to inform members of the public that it has no connection with these phishing emails and the fraudulent website,” the bank said in a statement. 

“Hang Seng will never ask customers to log in to their Personal e-Banking, or to provide personal information such as their HKID number, e-Banking login credentials, credit card credentials or one-time passwords through embedded links, instant messaging apps or similar channels.”
