Taiwan logs 3.9 billion non-cash payment transactions in H1

There were 28.91 million users of electronic payment accounts in end-June.

Taiwan recorded 3.916 billion non-cash payment transactions, amounting to NT$4.1t in the first six months of 2024.

There were 28.91 million electronic payment account users as of end-June 2024, according to data from its Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC).

Total amount of funds collected or paid as an agent for actual transactions was NT15.5b for the month.

Monthly amount of funds allocated for domestic or international small-amount remittance services was NT$15.17b.
