Standard Chartered, Allinpay enable Singapore dollar QR payments in Hong Kong

Singapore dollar can now be used to pay in over 30,000 acceptance points in Hong Kong.

Standard Chartered and Allinpay have teamed up to enable Allinpay’s Hong Kong merchants to accept PayNow instant payments in Singapore dollar via QR code.

Through this, Singapore dollar can now be used to pay in Allinpay’s over 30,000 acceptance points in Hong Kong.

The SGD-HKD exchange rate is fetched real-time and displayed at the point-of-sale device upon checkout, according to a press release.
