Bangkok Bank rolls out cross-border QR code payment in Japan
Users can avail of lower fees for foreign currency exchange than credit card or cash.
Bangkok Bank (BBL) is planning to offer a cross-border payment service via QR code in Japan with the eventual goal of regional rollout, reports Bangkok Post.

Users can avail of a convenient service and enjoy lower fees for foreign currency exchange than credit card or cash.
BBL aims to progressively launch the cross-border QR code service to other ASEAN countries. Currently, it has a presence in Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and the Philippines.
