Agricultural Bank of China launches Australia office
Assistance from Austrade and New South Wales government paved way to lender's Sydney office opening.
The Agricultural Bank of China, the country's largest financial services provider to the agribusiness-related sector, has opened an office in Australia, setting up in Sydney after receiving assistance from Austrade and the NSW Government.
The bank joins the Bank of China, the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, the China Construction Bank, and the Bank of Communications, which now means China's top five banks have representation in Australia, according to a report in Dynamic Export.
Of the five, the Agricultural Bank of China has the most number of branches and outlets with more than 3,800 touch points. It also employs more than 440,000 employees and more than 350 million customers.
