ICBC launches 3G mobile banking

ICBC launched its Mobile Banking 3G Trial Version, seen as the Chinese banking industry's entry into the 3G era.

Compared to the original ICBC Mobile Banking, the 3G Trial Version distinguishes itself via the following traits: the page factors are displayed in the form of more vivid and attractive pictures; clients are provided with faster Internet access and easier operations; the design of the operation page is more user-friendly and the process more convenient and effective.

Relying on the characteristics of high transmission speed and strong processing ability, ICBC Mobile Banking 3G Trial Version is developed on the basis of WAP2.0 Protocol, hence providing the most frequently used banking services such as inquiry and transfer.

Any client who has signed up for ICBC Mobile Banking, regardless of the 2G or 3G mobile phone he is holding, can all experience the different interface of Mobile Banking 3G Trial Version by clicking the menu of "Experience Mobile Banking 3G Trial Version" after logging on wap.icbc.com.cn. Client could have better experience if logging on by using 3G mobile phone.

According to an official company statement: "ICBC Mobile Banking has witnessed tremendous development since its inception in July 2008. By the end of May 2009, the number of its clients has surpassed 3,600,000. In the next stage, ICBC will further perfect the services of the 3G Version based on clients' trials, and will release an ICBC Mobile Banking (WAP) 3G Version featured with all dimensional functions including precious metal, credit card, fund business and client services, etc. In this way, clients of ICBC Mobile Banking (WAP) will be able to enjoy more comprehensive and high-quality banking services."
